Ring of Honor have lost their reserved date at Madison Square Garden, after communications with WWE. 

WWE were reportedly adamant that the independent promotion not hold a show at the Garden, which has for decades been seen as WWE's sacred arena. 

ROH COO Joe Koff said that talks with WWE did lead to the decision to withdraw from the Garden, saying lawyers would get involved.

Koff was also hopeful that a resolution would be reached between the two companies. 

"We can bring the kind of energy and excitement that ROH and our partner New Japan provide, to a bigger audience and to bigger arenas and to the fans of New York City," he told PWInsider.
