Bullet Club member Cody has said that Luke Skywalker is a lot like a wrestling legend, in the eyes of Star Wars fans. 

Portrayed by Mark Hammill in 2017's 'The Last Jedi', the film was criticised by some fans of the series for not having enough Luke, and for the older character's new, cynical approach. 

Cody tweeted his support for the film, describing the film as bold.

He was an old man! He'd had real triumph and tragedy. People expecting him to be anything other than what we saw I don't get...like wrestling fans still wanting our retired legends to always headline the shows. I'm all about the new class. https://t.co/sVa4cjufnJ

The former WWE star also mentioned the recent 'Solo' film: which tells the story of a young Han Solo, played by Alden Ehrenreich.
