As Impact Wrestling fans are aware, the main event of the recent Redemption pay-per-view was originally supposed to be Austin Aries defending the Impact World Championship against former champion Alberto El Patrón, but Alberto ended up being released from the company.

According to PWInsider.com, Alberto was penciled in to defeat Aries at Redemption and become the new Impact Wrestling World Champion.
