Brie Bella is said to be both sad and relieved, following the breakup of her sister Nikki, and longtime partner John Cena earlier this week. 

In an interview with People.com, a source close to the Bella twins said that Brie is furious at how her sister has been treated.

"On one level, Brie wants to kill him, sure. No one should be allowed to hurt her sister like this," the source told People.

Despite this, Brie is reportedly pleased that Nikki may now find someone to have children with, something Cena had consistently rejected in the past.

The source said: "There’s some relief that at least Nikki can go forward and find someone who will really give her everything she’s dreamed of. Because that guy isn’t John. Never was."

Last year, in another report from People, Nikki said that John's reluctance to become a father was due to his focus on his career.

She said: "[Cena] says it’s selfish but he knows that with his schedule he couldn’t be an incredible father and that’s why he chooses not to have kids."
