Footage is shown of Ciampa at the parking lot yelling at Regal for Gargano's appearance last week. Regal announces an un-sanctioned match between Ciampa and Gargano at NXT Takeover: New Orleans. 

Opening Show Promo

William Regal comes out and makes his way to the ring. Regal welcomes everyone to the show and announces that they will introduce the North American championship at NXT Takeover. EC3 appears and makes his way to the ring. EC3 says Regal is a smart man for giving him the North American championship. Regal says he's glad that EC3 is here but EC3 is not going to be handed the title. He says EC3 will compete in a 6 man ladder match to crown the new North American Champion. EC3 says he will prove that he is the top 1% on this show.

Charly breaks down the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

An interview with TM-61 is shown about the Tag Team Classic until the cameras catch Ember Moon and Shayna Baszler fighting at the performance center.

Street Profits vs. Authors Of Pain - Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinals

Ford and Rezar talk trash to each other. Ford tags Dawkins after a shove from Rezar but Rezar beats him in the corner. Rezar tags Akam and are in control until Angelo lands a upper cut on Akam and takes down Rezar. Dawkins lands a spine buster on Akam. Ford hands Ellering a cup on the outside but Ellering throws the cup away. Both members of Authors Of Pain come in and nail the Last Chapter to get the victory.

Winners: Authors Of Pain.

Cathy Kelly interviews Regal about the North American title. Regal says Adam Cole will be a part of the match. The Velveteen Dream interrupts and says he wants in. Regal puts him in the match for the North American title. Dream says it will be groundbreaking.

Lars Sullivan vs. Local Competitor

Lars throws him face first to the mat and throws him into the turnbuckle over and over. Lars collides into him in the corner. Lars lifts him up for a huge power slam. Lars goes up to the top for a diving head butt followed by the Freak Accident for the win.

Winner: Lars Sullivan

Cathy Kelly interviews Regal again to ask who else will be in the ladder match. Lars Sullivan appears and Regal says Lars will be in the ring. Lars says he's glad but he wants Killian Dain. Regal gives him Dain next week.

Dakota Kai makes her way to the ring. Cameras cut away to the parking lot as Andrade "Cien" Almas is beating down Aleister Black backstage. Almas puts his head in a cooler full of water and beats him all the way to the ring. Almas grabs a chair in the ring with a lifeless Black and lands a chair shot to the back of Black. Almas leaves the ring with officials tending to Black.

Sanity vs. Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne - Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinals

Strong and Wolfe lock up and Strong has a head lock applied. Strong dodges Wolfe and lands a kick. Wolfe catches him with a scoop slam. Wolfe tags Young and Strong tags Dunne. Dunne grabs Young's left arm and starts to work on it with a kick to the arm. Dunne knocks Young down after both teams stare off. Young dodges Dunne as Wolfe tags himself in and Dunne goes shoulder first to the buckle. Wolfe gets in and is in full control of Dunne.

-Commercial Break-

Wolfe tags in Young and they hit a double team move on Dunne. The ref tries to back Young off and Dunne catches him with an elbow. Strong gets tagged in and Strong lands chops to the chest of Young. Dunne gets tagged in and Young gets nailed with a double team move. Dunne continues to beat him down until Young dodges him and tries to make a tag. Dunne stops him and puts him in a head lock but Young counters with a suplex. Young tags in Wolfe and Dunne tags Strong. Wolfe and Strong go back and forth. Strong tries to take out both guys but Wolfe nails a Death valley Driver. Sanity swings Strong and plants him on the mat but Dunne breaks up the count. Dunne takes out Wolfe but Young nails a swinging neckbreaker. Strong and Young go to the top rope and Young slams him off the top rope. Young dives for an elbow and gets him. Young covers but Strong kicks out at 2. Dunne gets in and is able to kick Wolfe in the head. Strong and Dunne land a double team on Young slamming him to the mat and getting the 1.. 2.. 3.

Winners: Strong and Dunne.

Cathy Kelly asks Regal in his office who the final competitor in the 6 man ladder match is. Regal says he'll get him for her. His office door opens and Ricochet comes out saying he'll see everyone at Takeover.
