Son Of Sweet Georgia Brown Says Fabulous Moolah Pimp Allegations Are Not True

WWE recently took the decision to drop WWE Hall of Famer Fabulous Moolah‘s name from an upcoming women's at WrestleMania 34 following a wave online backlash and negative press.

The reason for the backlash was partly due to a story which claimed Moolah forced one of her students Sweet Georgia Brown into sex work with further claims that she was drugged and raped if she refused. The story first surfaced in 2006 when Brown's daughter spoke to the press about her Mother's alleged treatment.

There had also been wider allegations that Moolah also abused her position by taking a cut of a number of her students pay and hindered their development in the industry.

Michael McCoy, the son of Sweet Georgia Brown has since come forward for an interview for a Change.org petition set up to “preserve the correct legacy of The Fabulous Moolah” and he is refuting reports that Moolah pimped his Mother. Michael believes his Father is Buddy Lee, Moolah's ex-husband and business partner.

He said of the allegations, “I come to say today, that’s not true. That’s not true at all. Especially knowing the Moolah that I had grew to know.”

He added, “I’m not a fake. I’m not a phony and I’m not fronting today. And nobody is coercing me to say what I’m saying. Moolah did the right thing and she helped my mother.”

McCoy is claiming his Sister had something against Moolah and is the reason she made up the story in 2006.
