Edge Discusses the Possibility of an In-Ring Return, Would WWE Ever Clear Him?

WWE Hall of Famer and 11-time World Champion "The Rated-R Superstar" Edge talked about the possibility of him coming out of retirement for one last match.

He revealed on a recent episode of he and Christian'sĀ Pod of AwesomenessĀ podcast that many fans have been asking him about it since Daniel Bryan got cleared to return to action. Edge wanted to clarify that his career-ending injury was a completely different situation from Bryan's. Edge was forced to retire due to neck/spinal issues, while Bryan was forced to retire primarily because of concussion issues.

Edge said the following:

ā€œI got inundated, man. I got the ā€˜well, heā€™s back, so you can come back, right?ā€™ I was like ā€˜oh my God, weā€™re going to go into this again.ā€™ ā€¦ I will once again and for the last time say this: I greatly appreciate that people would like to see me have one more match, or come back, or Daniel Bryan got cleared so why canā€™t you. I will never be cleared.ā€Ā

ā€Mine is a completely different injury. He had neck issues but it wasnā€™t his neck issues that retired him initially, it was the concussion issues. I never had concussion issues. What I have is cervical spinal stenosis. Look it up. I have stupid neck, just look it up. You can look up ā€˜stupid neckā€™ and it will probably be a picture of my neck. Just do me a favor, look it up, and you then you will realize that the WWE will never medically clear me to compete again. And I appreciate it but thatā€™s all there is to that.ā€
