Welcome to WWE Smackdown Live and we kick things off with a contract signing for the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship which will be defended this Sunday night at Fastlane

Ruby Riott and Charlotte are in the ring and Ruby takes everyone on a trip back to where all this began between her and Charlotte and relates the story of the myth about Charlotte Flair and says as soon as Charlotte became champion, Ruby formed the Riott Squad to destroy that myth

Charlotte says if there is any myth it is that she has been handed anything because of who she is. The reality is that Charlotte is standing here and is every bit as good as Ruby has heard. Ruby says everything is on the line Sunday and when Ruby takes the title Charlotte's reality will crumble and she will be just another failure.

It looked like the contract signing would end up in a brawl between Charlotte and The Riott Squad but Bobby Roode makes his way out to the ring for the next match

RANDY ORTON VS JINDER MAHAL

Orton and Mahal lock up and Mahal works over the arm bringing Orton down to a knee but Orton reverses into a hammerlock of his own. Elbow to Orton and a side headlock on Orton. Orton with an irish whip and Mahal with a shoulderblock. Irish whip across the ring by Mahal and Mahal misses with a right hand. Orton goes for an RKO but Mahal slides out of the ring as Smackdown goes to break

-Commercial-

Back from break and Mahal in control as he connects with a flying knee to the face. Chinlock on Orton by Mahal and Orton is on his feet trying to fight back. Suplex by Orton. Clotheslines by Orton and a powerslam to Mahal. Orton grabs Mahal pulling him through the ropes for the DDT but Mahal blocks it. Orton with a fallaway slam.

Backbreaker on Mahal. Second time around, Mahal gets planted with the DDT and Orton is getting in the zone. Bobby Roode up on the apron and Orton turns his attention to the champion as Mahal delivers a knee from behind followed by the Koloss for the three count

The winner of the match: Jinder Mahal

Backstage: The Guardian Angels are talking and Sami Zayn says he's ready for Sunday and he knows Owens is ready. He knows Sunday it's every man for himself. Owens says he remembers something that Zayn said a few weeks back that he would lay down for Owens. Sami says he meant it and Owens says Zayn has no idea what that would mean to him.

Sami says it's because of Owens that Zayn is in the match and thanks him for everything Owens has done for him and at Fastlane he will lay down for Owens

Video: Usos-New Day rivalry

Backstage: Shinsuke Nakamura is being interviewed by Dasha Fuentes but before Shinsuke can speak Rusev Day walks in and Rusev tells Shinsuke that last week when he hit the Kinchasa to Aiden English and just like Billy Joel without a piano, Rusev is without Rusev Day because Nakamura broke Aiden. Rusev challenges Shinsuke to face him at Fastlane and he will break Nakamura. Nakamura agrees and says when he defeats Rusev, it will then be NAKAMURA DAY

BECKY LYNCH VS CARMELLA

They lock up and go around the ring until Carmella connects with a knee. Becky is sent to the apron and connects with a forearm and shoulder. Carmella with a forearm and hits a handstandcanrana and punches Becky. Carmella gets a near fall. Carmella rubs Becky's face in the mat. Carmella slams Becky's head into the mat and kicks her. Becky with punches and forearms. Becky tries to set up for DisArmHer but Becky is sent into the turnbuckles. Carmella punches Becky. Carmella with a head scissors in the ropes and she releases the hold before the five count. Carmella pulls Becky by the hair.

We see Naomi watching a monitor as Carmella gets a near fall after hitting a knee lift from the floor. Carmella sends Becky into the ringside barrier a few times. Carmella sends Becky into the ring post and gets a near fall. Carmella with a reverse chin lock. Becky with elbows and a drop kick. Becky with forearms and a European uppercut but Carmella with a thrust kick and she gets a near fall because Becky gets her foot on the ropes to stop the count.

Becky with an exploder but she runs into a thrust kick. Carmella with a head lock take down out of a wheelbarrow but Becky with DisArmHer and Carmella taps out.

The winner of the match: Becky Lynch

We see Naomi in the dressing room and Natalya enters. She says Becky was lucky. Naomi says Carmella tweets a big game but that is a big fail. Natalya says Carmella had a cold and that is why she lost. Natalya says Becky knew not to challenge her because of who she is. Naomi suggests that Carmella and Natalya face Becky and her.

Natalya says she can use a little tune up for Wrestlemania since she is going to challenge the winner at Fastlane to a match at Wrestlemania.

AJ Styles walks in the back as we go to break

AJ Styles comes out to the ring and says it wasn't long ago he only cared about one person but since winning the WWE Championship for a second time he sees the world differently. He is the champion but it's a grind to get here and it took a lot of work to get here. That takes him to Fastlane and the six pack challenge where he doesn't have to get pinned to lose the championship

Once again the odds are stacked against him but he's not going to stand here and complain about fair. He's going to fight because this is Smackdown the house that AJ Styles built. Sometimes life isn't always fair and sometimes we don't get what we want. John Cena pinned him and he's not taking anything away from Cena and Cena is never at a loss for words

We take a look at Cena's promo from last night. Styles reiterates what Cena said about when he wins AJ can have his rematch at Wrestlemania but thats not what Styles wants and he's sure that's not what the WWE Universe wants either. Styles wants his Wrestlemania moment and wants Shinsuke Nakamura..

At Fastlane he's not fighting for just himself, he's fighting for his Wrestlemania moment against Shinsuke Nakamura and it will be nothing short of phenomenal.

Dolph Ziggler comes out and asks what happened to AJ Styles. He used to be cool. He's changed, he's not phenomenal anymore. Now he's just desperate. Styles says this is coming from someone who's been in WWE for 13 years and still not reached his full potential. Ziggler fires back with ....this coming from a guy who took a decade to walk through the door of the house that Ziggler built

He came to tell Styles face to face that this Sunday he's going to lose because his head's not in the right place and tells AJ all about the fans and how they will stab him in the back and tells Styles to take his dream match and shove it.

AJ STYLES VS DOLPH ZIGGLER

Back from break Styles blocks a superkick. Styles with a front facelock on Ziggler. They lock up and Styles with a waistlock but Ziggler with an elbow and a right hand. Nearfall by Ziggler. Styles with a waistlock takedown into a chinlock.

Snapmare by Ziggler and a dropkick to Styles. Ziggler bounces Styles face first off the turnbuckle. Snapmare and Heart Stopper by Ziggler. Ziggler with a chinlock keeping Styles grounded. Styles gets to his feet. Side headlock on Styles, Styles fighting back and AJ connects with a dropkick of his own sending Ziggler to the outside.

Styles connects with a forearm and throws Ziggler back into the ring as we go to break.

-Commercial-

Back from break and Ziggler in control as he sent Styles to the outside. AJ beats the 10 count and makes it back into the ring where Ziggler lands a series of kicks. Dolph rakes the eyes across the top rope and Styles with a series of chops. Off the ropes, Ziggler sends Styles to the mat with a back bodydrop.

Right hand by Styles. Styles unloads with a forearm and kicks. Flying forearm in the corner to Ziggler. Ziggler with a Famouser for a nearfall. Styles and Ziggler trade punches and Styles goes to the outside

Suplexes blocked by both men on the apron and Ziggler plants Styles on the apron executing a slingshot sending Styles crashing head first into the turnbuckle falling to the floor as we go to break

-Commercial-

We are back and Ziggler punches Styles on the turnbuckles and Ziggler tries for the Styles Clash but Styles with a take down and he tries for a Calf Crusher but Ziggler escapes. Ziggler hits a Zig Zag with AJ's leg caught in the ropes but Ziggler can only get a near fall.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens attack Ziggler and AJ and the referee calls for the bell.

The winner of the match: No Contest

Post Match: Kevin and Sami continue the attack. Styles punches Owens and Ziggler punches Zayn and they clear the ring.

Shane McMahon's music plays and the man who hates Kevin and Sami shuffles his way to the stage.

Shane wants to know if Kevin and Sami are trying to take out two of their opponents on Sunday. Shane tells them to turn around and go back to the ring.

Shane says you think we are going to see a tag team match and that would be awesome, but they want to bring the best to Smackdown. Since we are a few days away from Fastlane. Why not have AJ Styles versus Dolph Ziggler versus Kevin Owens versus Sami Zayn versus this man to make it a Fatal Five Way?

Baron Corbin makes his way to the ring.

AJ STYLES VS BARON CORBIN VS DOLPH ZIGGLER VS SAMI ZAYN VS KEVIN OWENS

The match is joined in progress and Zayn sends Styles into the ringside barrier. Corbin sends Owens and then Zayn into the ringside barrier. Corbin sends Zayn back into the ringside barrier. Everyone but Owens gets back into the ring and Corbin punches Zayn. Corbin punches Zayn and Corbin with a forearm to Styles. Owens punches Corbin but Corbin with forearms. Corbin punches Ziggler. Corbin sends Styles into the corner and hits the ring post. Corbin biels Styles. Corbin is sent to the floor and Zayn and Owens send Corbin into the ring steps.

Owens attacks Styles while Zayn works over Ziggler. Zayn with a clothesline to Ziggler and Owens with a back senton for a near fall. Owens rubs his forearm across the bridge of Ziggler's nose. Zayn punches Styles. Zayn with a baseball slide to Corbin. Owens kicks Styles and Zayn picks AJ up. Zayn with a drop toe hold to Styles and Owens hits a back senton for a near fall. Owens runs his forearm across Styles' face and then they hug to show that they are very very good friends. Corbin grabs Zayn by the throat and pushes him away. Owens with a super kick to Corbin. Ziggler with a Fameasser to Owens. Zayn with a boot to Ziggler. Styles with a Pele Kick to Zayn as we go to commercial.

We are back and Ziggler blocks a superplex attempt by AJ on Zayn. Owens and Corbin show up to make this a Five Way Tower of Doom.

Corbin with a clothesline to Ziggler and then Zayn in the corner. Ziggler with Stinger Splashes to Corbin and Zayn. Corbin with a boot to Zayn and Ziggler with a boot to Corbin. Zayn with a Blue Thunder Bomb to Ziggler but Styles breaks it up. Zayn sends Styles over the top rope to the floor. Ziggler sends Zayn to the floor. Owens with a German suplex followed by a set up for a cannonball but Corbin charges and misses. Owens with a cannonball to Ziggler and a KO Bomb to Corbin. Ziggler with a hesitation DDT to Owens but Corbin grabs Ziggler. Ziggler with a Zig Zag to Corbin.

Zayn misses a tornado DDT and Ziggler with a super kick but Styles breaks up the cover. Corbin sends Styles over the top rope but Styles holds on. Styles goes for a springboard move but Corbin with a punch. Corbin slides around the post and clotheslines Zayn. Corbin with a chokebreaker to Ziggler followed by a Deep Six on Owens. Styles breaks up another cover. Styles with an enzuigiri to Corbin and a clothesline to send Corbin over the top rope to the floor. Styles with an elbow and spinning back heel kick. Styles with a moonsault into a reverse DDT on Zayn.

Styles goes to the apron and sets for the Phenonenal Forearm but he connects with a knee to Corbin instead. Ziggler is sent to the floor. Owens knocks Styles off the apron. Zayn with a Helluva Kick to Owens for the three count.

The winner of the match: Sami Zayn

Post Match: Sami is asked why and Sami asks why what? Sami says he is the best that WWE has. How about since he has been on Smackdown, he has been the most underlooked performer on the roster. Why? Don't ask him stupid questions. Tonight was not for the WWE Championship. Tonight was about who was the best and it is Sami Zayn.
