FOX is reportedly set to make a historic offer to WWE in order to secure the company’s TV rights when they expire in September 2019.
FOX is prepared to offer WWE Monday Night Raw a time slot on its FOX broadcast channel, and then would make FOX Sports 1 the home of WWE Smackdown Live. If the move does indeed take place, it would be the first time in the history of WWE that Raw airs on broadcast television as opposed to cable.
Another major change WWE Raw would undergo, should it move to FOX, is that the show length would revert back to two hour as opposed to the current three hour format.
A fan asked Dave Meltzer this question a few days back, and he seems to be in agreement that if FOX does buy the TV rights RAW will move to 2 hours again.
Yes, Raw would be cut to two hours if it goes on FOX https://t.co/EUwLpl2taB
