Big Show Believed To Be Done As An In-Ring WWE Performer

Posted By: Ben Jordan Kerin on Feb 28, 2018

Big Show's contract with WWE will officially expire as of the end of today.  Big Show recently revealed during an interview with Sports Illustrated last year that his deal with WWE would be up at the end of February.

It is believed he will not resign a talent contract as he wants to pursue other opportunities behind the scenes, such as becoming a brand ambassador and maybe even a producer, much like Mark Henry who also recently retired from the ring. Both may still make occasional appearances during special events.

As for one last match, Show told SI.com,  “No last matches, no fanfare, just ride off into the sunset and disappear,” said Big Show said. “That’s more my style. I’ll find something else to do that is inspiring, and let these new kids take the business and the reigns and let them build the future. I wish them all luck. Everything changes. We’ve got a great group of talent that deserves the spotlight.”

Big Show's last WWE match was on September 4th, 2017 in which he lost inside a steel cage against Braun Strowman on Monday Night Raw. He later went on to have hip surgery.
