WWE SmackDown Live Coverage And Results (2/13)

Welcome to WWE Smackdown Live and we kick things off with Dolph Ziggler making his way out to the ring

DOLPH ZIGGLER VS BARON CORBIN

Ziggler is waiting for Corbin. Corbin's music plays but there's no Baron Corbin as the camera pans to the back where Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have attacked The Lone Wolf. Zayn and Owens make their way out to the top of the ramp and Ziggler exits the ring taking the fight to Zayn but the numbers game catches up as Owens joins in on the attack

Corbin makes his way out to get his hands on Zayn and Owens but Owens and Zayn pick up where they left off backstage

No Match

-Commercial-

CHARLOTTE FLAIR VS SARAH LOGAN

Sarah and Charlotte lock up. Waistlock by Logan and a takedown as she holds on. Charlotte back to her feet but Logan with another takedown. Front facelock by Sarah keeping Charlotte grounded but Charlotte reverses it and a takedown by Charlotte as she kicks at Logan who rolls out of the ring as we go to commercial

-Commercial-

Back from break and Charlotte with a suplex. Logan with a chop to Charlotte. Charlotte unloads with a series of chops of her own. Irish whip by Charlotte and Sarah counters a slam and tackles Charlotte

Nearfall on Charlotte. Butterfly suplex by Logan. Sarah working over the arm. Irish whip in the corner. Boot by Charlotte logan with a dropkick and Sarah kicking and punching at Charlotte. Logan continues to work over the arm as she drives her knee into the shoulder. Charlotte gets to her feet but Sarah connects with a clothesline.

Kick by Charlotte followed up with a chop. Charlotte misses with the boot and a suplex by Logan. Charlotte with a punvh. Logan sends Charlotte face first into the turnbuckle. Logan misses with a clothesline as Charlotte returns the favor sending Sarah into face first into the top turnbuckle. Charlotte then hits the Natural Selection for the three count

The winner of the match: Charlotte

Backstage: Shane walks in and asks Daniel Bryan if Owens and Zayn are the types of champion he's looking for. Two guys who attacked two other guys who are far more deserving and Shane says tonight Ziggler and Corbin will get their opportunity. Corbin will face Owens and Ziggler will face Zayn and at Fastlane, the WWE Championship match will either be a Fatal Four Way or a Fatal Five Way and if either Zayn or Owens gets involved in the other's match, they're both out of the championship match

-Commercial-

BARON CORBIN VS KEVIN OWENS

Owens goes to work on Corbin delivering kicks and Corbin fights out of the corner. Owens slides out of the ring. Corbin and Owens fighting on the outside as Zayn looks on from the back. Corbin back in and Owens stomps away at Corbin. Irish whip reversed by Corbin and Corbin runs into a pair of boots. Owens on the top turnbuckle takes a right hand from Corbin.

Owens rolls to the outside and Corbin sends Owens into the barricade. Knee to Owens and Corbin bounces Owens' head off the barricade before rolling him back into the ring. Owens staying on the outside as he drives Corbin into the ring apron and sends him shoulder first into the ring post. Now, Owens rolls Corbin back into the ring. Owens goes after the ribs. Irish whip by Owens and Corbin slides out and back in but takes a shot from Owens and Owens hits the Cannonball as Smackdown goes to break

-Commercial-

Back from break, Owens still in control. Irish whip by Owens. Corbin slides out of the ring and back in dropping Owens with a clothesline. Corbin has Owens seated on the top turnbuckle delivering a right hand. Owens with a headbutt. Owens side steps and Corbin hits the ring post shoulder first

Owens going back to the top rope and Corbin is back to his feet with a hold of Owens who fights back. Owens drops Corbin neck first on the top rope. Corbin with the Deep Six. Superkick by Owens. Owens misses with a clothesline and Corbin hits the End Of Days for the three count

The winner of the match: Baron Corbin

US OPEN CHALLENGE

Back from commercial Bobby Roode is in the ring and says he wants to keep the tradition going and take from none other than John Cena and says people can say whatever they want but Cena defended the US Title week in and week out and the US Open Challenge continues tonight and normally the US Open Challenge is open to anyone in the locker room but he hopes one person answers the challenge and that man comes out and faces him instead of coming out and hitting an RKO out of nowhere. Orton comes out but seconds later Jinder Mahal is out and says at least the WWE Universe respects him. He wishes he could say the same thing about the Smackdown Live roster who by the way voted him number 9 on the Smackdown Live Top 10 List

13 time World Champion, First ballot Hall Of Fame, the Evolution and the face of WWE. And they voted him number 9. Mahal says he respects Orton but the rest of the roster thinks he's already piqued. Orton says he doesn't care about a Top Ten List but Mahal doesn't believe it. Mahal says he respects Randy Orton but has it on good authority that Bobby Roode already fancies himself as a Legend Killer. Roode says those are some pretty big accusations for someone who didnt even make the list and says he has respect for Orton and everything he's done. But if Orton wants Roode's opinion on why he's number 9 is maybe because everyone around here is sick of being attacked out of nowhere

Orton RKO's one of the Singh Brothers. Mahal goes to attack but Roode levels Orton and Mahal hits the Koloss on both Orton and Roode

-Commercial-

AMERICAN ALPHA 2.0 VS NEW DAY

Big E with a clothesline to Chad as the bell rings (and we get a Denny's pancake commercial). Kofi tags in and he does a dance in front of Chad before kicking him and he gets a near fall. Gable with a belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Benjamin tags in and they double team Kofi. Shelton with a knee to the head followed by punches. Shelton with an Irish whip but Kofi with a pendulum kick. Kofi goes up top and leaps over Shelton. Benjamin with a knee to Kofi and he gets a near fall.

Shelton with a hard Irish whip. Gable tags in and he drops a knee on the arm and he gets a near fall. Gable with an arm bar. Kofi with a punch but Gable holds on to the arm bar. Kofi with an arm drag but Gable with a rolling kick for a near fall. Benjamin tags in and Kofi with a punch and kick. Gable tags in and he kicks Kofi. Benjamin tags back in and he kicks Shelton and sends Gable to the floor. Benjamin goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Kofi lands on his feet. Gable pulls Big E off the apron as Kofi is about to make the tag.

Benjamin goes to the floor and punches Xavier. Kofi with a jumping double stomp and both men are down. Gable and Big E tag in and Big E with two overhead belly-to-belly suplexes followed by a belly-to-belly suplex. Big E gyrates before hitting the Warrior Splash. Big E goes for the Big Ending but Gable escapes and hits Chaos Theory but does not hold on for the cover. Benjamin tags in but Woods distracted the referee so he did not see the tag. Kofi sends Benjamin to the floor with a drop kick. Kofi tag in and they hit Midnight Hour for the three count.

The winners of the match: Kofi Kingston and Big E

Backstage: Dolph Ziggler walks in the back and he is asked by Renee Young about being away. Dolph says he has to be more selective picking his spots. Dolph has another opportunity and he says he loves this. It is about doing what he was put on this planet to do. Perform in that ring. No one is better than him and no one will outshine him. Kevin and Sami know that more than anyone. They know what he is capable of. They cannot stop him. The reason he is here right now, he wants to main event Wrestlemania. He will damned if he does not walk in there as WWE Champion.

-Commercial-

Backstage: The Usos are in the back. They say it is lights out to anyone who challenges them. They say that they are real brothers and nothing can break their bond.

The Bludgeon Brothers destroy the monitor and they stare at the cameras and say nothing.

Gorilla Position: Kevin apologizes to Sami and says that Sami cannot lose because their chances of winning will go down even more. Sami says he already let them down. Sami says there is no we in the Championship match, it is every man for themselves.

DOLPH ZIGGLER VS SAMI ZAYN

Zayn backs into the ropes to avoid Ziggler and he tells the referee to do his job. We see Kevin watching the monitor and able to see the screen. Ziggler gets Zayn into the ropes and the referee forces a clean break. Ziggler with a single leg take down into a front face lock. Zayn with a head butt to the midsection. They lock up and Ziggler backs Zayn into the ropes. Ziggler with a punch on the break followed by a neck breaker. Ziggler with a Stinger splash and another neck breaker for a near fall. Zayn goes to the floor.

Zayn returns to the ring and they lock up. Zayn with punches to the back of the head. Zayn kicks Ziggler to the apron. Zayn slingshots Ziggler throat first into the middle rope and then he works on the neck.

Zayn punches Ziggler. Ziggler punches back and Zayn runs Ziggler into the corner. Zayn with forearms to the back. Zayn chops Ziggler but Ziggler with an Irish whip. Ziggler runs into an elbow and Zayn goes to the turnbuckles and comes off into a drop kick. Zayn goes to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Zayn with a rear chin lock. Zayn with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. We see footage from commercial break when Zayn knocked Ziggler off the apron with a running forearm. Ziggler lands on his feet on a suplex attempt. Zayn with an elbow but Ziggler with a hesitation DDT. Both men are down while Kevin Owens continues to watch from the back. Zayn counters the Fameasser and gets a near fall with a rollup. Ziggler with a Fameasser for a near fall.

Ziggler goes to the apron and up top. Zayn tries to stop Ziggler but Ziggler kicks Zayn away. Zayn hits the ropes to crotch Ziggler. Zayn punches Ziggler and then goes up for a superplex. Ziggler punches Zayn but Zayn punches back. Zayn with a Super Exploder and both men are down. Ziggler with punches but Zayn with a kick to the knee. Both men with forearms and Zayn catapults Ziggler into the ring post.

Zayn misses a Helluva Kick and Ziggler hits the Zig Zag but Zayn kicks out at two. Ziggler sets for a super kick but Zayn avoids it and he sends Ziggler shoulder first into the ring post. Zayn sends Ziggler into the ring post shoulder first one more time. Kevin is shown in the back watching Zayn set for a Blue Thunder Bomb but Ziggler with punches and a rollup for a near fall. Zayn with an exploder into the turnbuckles. Zayn sets for the Helluva Kick but Ziggler with a super kick for the three count.

The winner of the match: Dolph Ziggler
