Original Plans For Dolph Ziggler At WWE Royal Rumble Changed

As seen during last night's WWE Royal Rumble Kickoff show, Mojo Rawley answered Bobby Roode's U.S. open challenge and lost. The original plan was actually for Dolph Ziggler to answer the challenge but those plans were changed at some stage during the weekend, according to PWInsider.

Instead, Ziggler appeared as the 30th entrant in the men's Rumble match but only lasted a short whole being thrown out of the ring by Finn Balor.

Ziggler has been off WWE television since vacating the U.S. title and he was removed from all WWE live events and television tapings to help sell the angle.

Ziggler is expected to appear on Tuesday's SmackDown Live this week.
