As was previously reported, former Impact Wrestling World Champion Bobby Lashley has left Impact Wrestling.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lashley was actually supposed to be signed to Impact until May, but he requested an early release from the company because he feels like he might be getting some good offers from either WWE or New Japan Pro Wrestling in the near future.

By leaving Impact several months early, he actually gave up a decent amount of money, but he was willing to do that in order to make himself available for negotiations sooner.

No word yet on what this could mean for his mixed martial arts fighting career, but one would think that he'll likely have to put his MMA career on hold if he ends up signing with WWE.
