It was previously reported that former WWE European Champion, ECW Champion, and World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry was retired as an in-ring performer for WWE.

In an update on that story, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that Mark does not consider himself to be officially retired, but he's just not wrestling anymore because he wants to spend more time with his family.

Meltzer posted the following on Twitter:

Just for clarification, Mark Henry does not consider himself retired, but wants to be home for his kids so isn't wrestling, with the company, told Mike Johnson is Aug. basically retired but doesn't want that word used.
