WWE Reportedly Tells Paige Her In-Ring Career Is Over

Posted By: Ben Jordan Kerin on Jan 12, 2018

WWE has reportedly told Paige this week that the company will not clear her to return to the ring following her most recent injury which happened at a WWE Live event in Uniondale New York. It was believed at the time that she only suffered a stinger but recent tests have revealed the injury to be much worse than previously believed.

A number of sources have told PWInsider that she is "done" as an in-ring competitor and this is similar to Edge's retirement in 2011 due to a neck injury. This will come as a big blow to the former WWE Women's Champion who only returned in the fall of 2017 after losing a year to injury and recovery from neck surgery.

She posted on Instagram today "The comeback is always stronger than the setback"
