On tonight's edition of WWE Raw, a brand new number-one contender for the Cruiserweight Championship was determined, as Cedric Alexander defeated Drew Gulak to earn a future opportunity at Enzo Amore's title.

The match was made after Alexander won a "second chance" Fatal 4 Way Match on last week's broadcast. Originally, it was supposed to be Gulak vs. Rich Swann, but plans were changed following Swann's arrest due to charges of battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment involving his wife, which has since resulted in his indefinite suspension from WWE.
