Vince McMahon is not a fan of the "one fall" chant that fans bellow during a match’s introduction by the ring announcers, according to Dave Meltzer on Twitter. The chant which is often associated with independent wrestling gained popularity when SmackDown ring announcer Greg Hamilton joined the company. Â
After announcing "this match is scheduled for one fall," the WWE audiences chants "one fall" back to Hamilton. WWE recently instructed their announcers to stop this and apparently it was a directive from Vince McMahon.
A fan on twitter asked Meltzer "There must be a specific reason why they aren’t letting announcers do the ‘one fall’ for the matches" to which he responded, "Vince hates it."
