WWE Has Big Plans For Hideo Itami On 205 Live

Posted By: Ben Jordan Kerin on Dec 07, 2017

Dave Meltzer revealed on the latest episode of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Hideo Itami will be the next big name pushed on the 205 Live brand once he makes his debut.

Meltzer wrote, “Hideo Itami, who is being pushed as the new star of the brand, will likely anchor the shows with Amore, and the usual crew featuring the Zo train heels of Drew Gulak, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and Noam Dar (who seems in the process of a turn) and a babyface group featuring Cedric Alexander (whose been teased for a change), Rich Swann, Mustafa Ali and Akira Tozawa.”

WWE is still reportedly heavily committed to making the 205 Live brand work despite viewing figures not being what they had hoped. A 205 Live tour has been announced for the following dates in January 2018:

- Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 – Kingston, RI – The Ryan Center

- Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 – Lowell, MA – Lowell Auditorium

- Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 – Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid Hudson Civic Center
