Dolph Ziggler recently spoke toĀ E&Cās Pod Of AwesomenessĀ on which he discussed he will be making a decision about his WWE future very soon.
āI have a very short amount of time left to figure out if I want to do that again or if thereās something to reach for. All I could reach for is fun-ass matches and tearing it down on the weekends because it doesnāt seem to be a specificĀ greatĀ prize to be reaching for here that I can attain, soĀ I can beĀ patted on the back and told, āyouāre our guy ā youāre our Shawn Michaels. YouāreĀ so goodĀ at this ā we canāt do this without you!ā and then kind of see a bunch ofĀ guysĀ not in that position coast right by. So there [are] no feelings hurt. Itās a show business thing where I love it and in a very short time, I will have toĀ decideĀ if I need to go away and do my own thing or if I need to find a differentĀ roleĀ here. Gatekeeper is aĀ greatĀ spot for someone who hasnāt been world champion, who doesnāt excel at the seven out of the possible eight things you can do here as aĀ sportsĀ entertainer and itās really weird that I canāt get more, but trust me when I say Iām knocking on the door every other day and almost demanding it, so we will see what happens in a very short while, but I would love to keep doing this, just at a different level and IĀ need to knowĀ that the company is on my side with taking it toĀ another level, so I can give back and help atĀ another level.ā
Ziggler has been under contract with WWE since 2004Ā where he was assigned to theirĀ developmental territoryĀ Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), debuting as "Nick Nemeth."
