As was previously reported, NXT Superstar Lio Rush got some considerable heat on himself after he sent out a Tweet that was considered to be inappropriate following Emma's contractual release from WWE.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that he heard that there was even some talk of firing Rush shortly after he sent out the Tweet and people started to take notice of it. It was reported by PWInsider.com that WWE and NXT officials had a serious discussion with Lio about it.

Meltzer also noted that Rush very well could have been fired had he not apologized for it shortly afterwards, and that Lio is now going to have to work exceptionally hard to get the heat off of him backstage.
