Raw Women's Championship Match Announced For Tonight's WWE Raw Main Event

On tonight's edition of WWE Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle informed Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss during a short backstage segment that in the main event of tonight's broadcast, she will be defending the Raw Women's Championship against Mickie James.

During the segment, Alexa stated that "dead weight" such as Mickie should be cut from WWE, even going so far as to suggest that competitors from the Mae Young Classic could be brought in or that the company could even "dig up" Mae Young herself. In response, Angle reminded Alexa that when Raw was put under siege by the SmackDown LIVE invasion last week, Alexa "stood by and did nothing," and because of that, she was done running. Angle then made the title match official for tonight.
