During the main event of tonight's WWE Raw, in which Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns clashed in a Steel Cage Match, Kane made his surprise return to WWE by coming up through the ring as his music played just as Roman was about to go for the win in the match.

Kane hit two Chokeslams on Roman, while Strowman hit two Powerslams, giving Strowman the win. Intercontinental Champion The Miz, who was seated at the announce table, then announced that Kane would be the fifth member of his team at this coming Sunday night's Raw-exclusive WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs event.

As per the stipulation announced earlier in the evening by General Manager Kurt Angle, Miz would be allowed to add another member to his team if Strowman was victorious; however, if Strowman lost, then the main event at TLC would go back to being The Shield vs. Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro.
