Eric Denis, an indy wrestler competing in the ICW Fighting Federation event at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer in Montreal, Quebec, Canada collapsed and died after suffering a heart attack. He was aged 40.

Fans were reportedly evacuated from the church while Denis received medical attention from wrestlers, but he died before he could be resuscitated.

Denis had been involved in the world of fighting for over twenty years and leaves behind six children. A tribute will be held for him next Saturday at the next ICW fight gala.
