At an independent event this past weekend, Gregory Iron suffered what he has described as a "severe weiner injury" and has since launched a GoFundMe page to seek assistance with expenses.
On the page, Iron explains that this past Saturday morning, he was involved in a car accident while traveling with Matt Cross and Zach Gowen, in which a truck collided with Iron's personal vehicle as the three were pulling into a gas station; however, the three were still able to make it to New Jersey, where all three were scheduled to perform that night. Iron and Gowen were scheduled to team as "The Handicapped Heroes (Gowen wrestles with only one leg, while Iron wrestles with only one functioning arm due to suffering from cerebral palsy).
Iron's groin injury occurred during the match during what's described as a "turnbuckle crotching" spot:
"When the time came for the spot, the spot was rushed and my leg was pushed a little harder than I would have liked. I braced myself as good as I could in the moment, and took the crotch. I didn’t hurt at the moment. My main concern was that the crotching most likely looked poor on camera and to the fans."
Iron then states that when he got back to the locker room, he noticed that his trunks were filling up with blood, which was coming from his penis. From there, Iron was rushed to the hospital, where doctors ran tests for approximately 16 hours. Iron then states the following on his GoFundMe page:
"When it was all said and done, they determined that I either have a bruise, or minor tear, in my urethra."
Iron says that because of his injury, he will be forced to cancel the remainder of his booking for the month of October, and he will also be unable to work for two weeks at his normal day job at the Murray Ridge Center, which is a facility for adults with developmental disabilities.
