WWE Smackdown Live Coverage and Results (9/26)

WWE Signature

Video: Re-cap of Kevin Owens-Shane McMahon feud

Welcome to Smackdown Live and this week's show comes to us from Glendale, Arizona and we kick things off with Kevin Owens making his way out to the ring.

On commentary we have the usual three man team. Corey Graves, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton

Owens takes the mic as he looks out at the sea of fans that make up the WWE Universe. Owens says all week he's heard Shane McMahon this and Shane McMahon that and asks where Shane is. Owens says he's been called a coward for what he did to Vince McMahon and for not being here last week. Owens is standing here in the land of opportunity and says this is Shane's opportunity and asks where Shane is. Maybe Shane McMahon is the coward

Owens believes Shane is a very smart man because last week Owens said he has nothing but respect for Vince McMahon and not only does he respect but also likes Vince McMahon and Shane saw what Owens did to a man he respects and likes so imagine what he'll do to someone he doesn't.

Sami Zayn makes his way out. Sami asks what is wrong with Owens. He's not out in the ring to fight. He's out because Owens has lost complete control. He's known Owens for 15 years and knows what happens when Owens snaps. It doesn't end well and when Owens headbutted Vince McMahon that was it. He snapped

Sami says he is out to talk some sense into Owens because at Hell In A Cell he is crossing a line there's no coming back from and Owens needs to get a grip and stop now. Owens says he didn't snap. He's cool and for Sami not to worry. Owens tells Zayn he's not out to talk sense into Owens. Zayn is out because he's outshined and outeclipsed Zayn yet again and once again runs down their parallel career paths leading to WWE

Last week Owens said headbutting Vince McMahon was a mistake and asks what Sami Zayn has ever done in his life that has had as much impact as Owens' skull had on Vince McMahon. Zayn says Owens is right he's done more than Sami but Owens has taken cheap shots but Zayn's day will come and he will do it his way, the right way. Zayn says the difference between himself and Owens is when he looks in the mirror he doesn't see a giant piece of trash looking back at him. They both drop their mics but are interrupted by Daniel Bryan

Bryan says Owens is right. Shane isn't here and doesn't know if he will be but he knows someone who is here and who would like to fight him. So we are going to see Sami Zayn fight Kevin Owens and we're going to see that tonight

-Commercial-

We are back from break and WWE Champion Jinder Mahal is in the ring accompanied by The Singh Brothers. Jinder says his opponent at Hell In A Cell for his WWE Championship is none other than Shinsuke Nakamura.

He says last week he may have gone too far by making fun of Nakamura which elicits a loud "Nakamura' chant from the crowd. Like the WWE Universe he respects Shinsuke so unlike last week he is going to compliment Nakamura and again turns everyone's attention to the big screen where he proceeds to do more of the same as he's done in recent weeks

He shows one final photo but it's not a photo at all instead it is Nakamura himself and he says he's looking right at Jinder. The lights go off and Nakamura makes his way out. The lights go off and out comes Bobby Roode.

Roode says Dolph is an amazing talent and an incredible in-ring competitor but is also a hypocrite because for a guy who says the WWE Universe doesn't care about him he wastes an awful lot of time coming out week after week telling the fans about it

Roode says they are alike because they both command respect. Roode says Dolph says he claims to be the greatest and challenges Ziggler to back up that claim at Hell In A Cell.
