WWE NXT Results (9/20/17)

This weeks NXT show is taken place in their home of Full Sail University.

A graphic honoring the late Bobby Heenan was shown at the top of the show.

Mauro Ranallo welcomes us and hypes tonight's main event of Tyler Bate & Trent Seven taking on The Undisputed Era's Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly. Ranallo makes it clear that Adam Cole will be in the corner of Fish & O'Reilly. Mauro then hypes the first words of Aleister Black to the NXT universe later on tonight.

Johnny Gargano vs Tino Sabatelli w/Riddick Moss

Johnny Wrestling is out first to his usual big pop. Tino & Moss come out together as they have been since beginning to team together. A lot of taunting from Sabatelli as Gargano recovered from being knocked down. The commentary team played up Tino's inexperience as they did to Riddick Moss last week in his match with Gargano. It looks like they may use that as a part of their gimmick. Gargano hit a super kick and transitioned it into a Gargano Escape for the victory. It's worth noting that the commentary team is mentioning that something is going on in the mind of Johnny Gargano and it's effecting him during his matches. It could be leading to the return angle with his former partner, Tommaso Ciampa.

WINNER via Submission: Johnny Gargano

Backstage Promo hits as William Regal is asked by Roderick Strong for a shot at Drew McIntyre and his NXT Championship. Regal announces that in two weeks, Strong gets his shot at the new champion.

Commentary hypes Lars Sullivan vs No Way Jose scheduled for later on tonight. They also announce that Lacey Evans vs Biance Belair will happen next.

Back from commercial break. Footage is being shown from Asuka's farewell to NXT and her relinquishing of the NXT Women's Championship. They cut to Sonya Deville who states that she's gunning for the vacant women's title.

Lacey Evans vs Bianca Belair

Lacey is out first with her theme from the Mae Young Classic. It appears that she will be keeping that going forward on NXT. Belair is out next to start the match. A lot of hard lockups to start off. Belair is working heel through the match and Evans is working babyface. Bianca hits a big hair whip and then an Alleyoop for the pin.

Winner by Pinfall: Bianca Belair

More hype for Moustache Mountain vs reDRagon in tonight's main event. Aleister Black speaks next.

Aleister Black comes out in a suit to speak to the NXT fans. Black talks about how it took 15 years to get to WWE and that he has the scars to show for it. Aleister speaks on his tattoos from the heart on his neck to the devil on his back, until the Velveteen Dream interrupts him. Dream states that he sees no scars and that Black has fear in his eyes. Black hits Black Mass to Velveteen's hand and sends the microphone flying. Black sits down in his usual way in the ring and Dream drops to his knees and slides out of the ring backwards. Commentary made it clear that this is going to be something going forward between the two.

Footage is shown to hype Sullivan vs No Way Jose which is up next

Dakota Kai is on screen and she says that she isn't afraid to kick heads in for the NXT Women's Championship. Looks like this will be a theme with all eligible ladies of NXT.

No Way Jose vs Lars Sullivan

Lars is out to new theme music. Sounded really heavy metal and works with his gimmick. Jose was working hard to try to get Sullivan down but Lars was dominant with his power game. He nailed Jose with a flying headbutt and then a big side slam similar to what Rusev used to use in NXT for the pin.

Winner by Pinfall: Lars Sullivan

Camera cuts to the back where Trent Seven & Tyler Bate are on their way to the ring for the main event. Final graphic pops up for the main event up next

Trent Seven & Tyler Bate vs Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly w/ Adam Cole

During the entrance of Bate & Seven, commentary mentioned that Moustache Mountain would like to climb the ranks of the NXT Tag Team division. This would mean that Bate & Seven would not be restricted from title contention outside of the WWE UK Championship. The Undisputed Era is out next with new music and iron graphics. Big pop for Adam Cole when his name was announced as the crowd shouted "BAY BAY". O'Reilly & Bate start the match off and reDRagon are dominant from the start wearing down Tyler and then Trent once he tagged in. Bate comes in on the hot tag and is very impressive with his feats of strength and athleticism. False finish when Bate is able to save himself by putting his foot on the rope after taking Chasing the Dragon from Fish & O'Reilly. Cole super kicks Bate while the referee was distracted and it allows reDRagon to hit their Total Elimination style finish on Trent for the win

WINNERS by Pinfall: Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish

After the match,Drew McIntyre's music hits and he comes running down to confront The Undisputed Era but Cole, Fish & O'Reilly retreat into the crowd. Just as they thought they were in the clear, SAnitY pops up behind them. Eric Young, Killian Dain & Alexander Wolfe attack The Undisputed Era in the crowd and send them running to the back to close the show
