This past Tuesday on Smackdown, WWE.com inadvertently posted in their re-cap that Baron Corbin interfered in the John Cena vs Shinsuke Nakamura match which obviously did not happen
It has been noted that when Corbin came out to attack Nakamura Smackdown had already gone off-air. The attack prompted Cena to run back down for the save and ended up giving Corbin an Attitude Adjustment through the commentary table.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the original plan was for Corbin to have run in during the Smackdown main event and try to take out Nakamura which would have backfired leading Corbin taking out Cena and Nakamura going over which would ultimately lead to John Cena vs Baron Corbin and Shinsuke nakamura vs Jinder Mahal at Summerslam
It is unclear if Cena wanted to put Nakamura over or if Vince McMahon just simply changed his mind. WWE.com's mistake was leaking the original plans
After Corbin was taken out, Nakamura apologized for dropping Cena on the back of his neck to which Cena replied "Don't Be Sorry." Nakamura will challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship at Summerslam with Nakamura going in as the favourite to win this match
