WWE Raw General Manager Kurt Angle recently took part in a Q&A session on his official Facebook page, he was asked about a number of topics including if he thinks CM Punk should return to WWE, to which he responded, "I hope he comes back. I think his MMA career is over. He needs to go back to what he does best!"
Punk sensationally quit WWE on January 27, 2014, the night after the Royal Rumble. On December 6 of that year, he announced he had signed a multi-fight deal with UFC. It took more than a year for CM Punk to have his first fight in UFC which was a first-round loss to Mickey Gall.
Since his loss, we've heard little from Punk on his future with UFC, in fact speaking with Fight Network's John Pollock after Punk's first MMA defeat, UFC President Dana White said that the UFC "probably" won't have Punk fight again.
"He probably shouldn't have his next fight in the UFC. Just like I said with Brock, having your first fight in the UFC is tough and you [saw] tonight, even if it's against a guy who is 2-0. This is a tough place to learn."
