WWE NXT Women's Champion Asuka posted the following statement on her official Twitter page, stating essentially that she will not return to the brand until officials find a more "worthy opponent" for the undefeated star to face in the ring.

Asuka's last match on WWE programming was on the June 28th edition of NXT on the WWE Network, in which she defeated Nikki Cross in a Last Woman Standing Match to retain the NXT Women's Championship.
