WWE SmackDown Live (6/27)

Welcome to SmackDown Live and we kick things off with Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan making his way out to the ring. 

Daniel says tonight there will be two Smackdown Women's matches. In the first it will be Naomi defending her SmackDown Women's Championship against Lana and the second ever Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match where the winner will be whoever climbs up the ladder and grabs th.....And we are interrupted by CarmEllsworth making their way out.

Carmella says Smackdown is more like the land of injustice. Last week the biggest injustice took place when she was stripped of her Money In The Bank victory. She says she won that match fair and square and clarifies that there are no rules. The rules clearly state the first woman to gain possession of the Money In The Bank Contract WINS....THE....MATCH. She says James Ellsworth is not the first superstar to get involved in a Money In The Bank match and runs down a list of superstars such as Sheamus and Seth Rollins and they weren't stripped of their contract. Just because she is more intelligent than any other woman in the back doesn't give Bryan the right to strip her of her contract

Bryan says it is true that the other superstars were not stripped of their contract even though they got involved in the match. However, never has a superstar interefered and handed the contract to someone else and puts the question to the WWE Universe. James Ellsworth tells the crowd to shut up because they make him sick. He calls Daniel a stupid puppet and the crowd launches into an "Ellsworth Sucks" chant. Ellsworth says Bryan is just as pathetic as the fans. He looked up to Daniel as a man but now he sees Daniel as a gutless, spineless coward who doesn't have the grapefruits to cut it in the ring anymore so he made up some hookie injury

Daniel says he probably should just fire Ellsworth but tonight it's not about him. It's about the real superstars of SmackDown Live. He knows he said last week on Talking Smack that he'd ban Ellsworth from ringside but takes that back. He's not going to ban James from ringside. He's going to ban Ellsworth from the entire arena. Security make their way to the ring and escort Ellsworth out. Bryan then, from the bottom of his heart, wishes Carmella good luck tonight

Tonight: Naomi vs Lana, Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin

HYPE BROS VS THE USOS

Ryder starts off against Jimmy. Irish whip and a shoulder block by Ryder. Hiptoss to Jimmy and a dropkick for a two count. Tag to Rawley and Irish whip as Ryder connects with a clothesline in the corner. Rawley in now with Jey. Rawley with a "He Ain't Hype" chant and Rawley clotheslines Jey over the top rope. Tag back to Ryder and Ryder over the top rope takes out both Usos. Ryder picks Jey up rolling him back in and Ryder on the apron gets caught with a kick to the head sending him crashing to the floor as we go to break

Back from break, Jimmy flies off the top rope connecting with the big splash to Ryder for the three count

The winners of the match: The Usos

Post Match: New Day come out. Xavier says he's so proud of The Usos because they actually won a match instead of running away from it and they want that gold and at Battleground New Day is coming for The Usos. The Usos say New Day don't deserve a shot. The Usos accept but it ain't about New Day anymore, it's about Day One-ish. The Usos turn around to leave but Woods says they seem to forget who they're dealing with. Kofi then takes the mic and drops a rhyme on The Usos

SMACKDOWN LIVE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: LANA VS NAOMI

Lana attacks Naomi before the bell and the referee holds her back. Lana with a slam as the bell rings and a two count. Naomi with a kick to the side of the head. She drags Lana to the corner and climbs the top rope executing a split legged moonsault onto Lana for the three count.

The winner of the match: Naomi

Backstage: Becky Lynch says two weeks ago she was inches away from grabbing the briefcase but Daniel did the right thing and tonight she has a second chance to win the money in The Bank ladder match

Aiden English is in the ring and serenades the crowd but is interrupted by Randy Orton. English exits the ring

Randy Orton is in the ring to address Jinder Mahal and throws to footage from last week in which he attacked The Singh Brothers. Orton said that pales in comparison to what he will do if he doesn't get his rematch. People may ask why he deserves one and he says if he doesn't get his rematch he will beat the holy hell out of Jinder Mahal. Orton goes to exit the ring and make his way to the back to find Jinder but Shane McMahon comes out

The crowd starts. "Shane-O-Mac" chant. Shane says he and Orton go way back and they can't have Orton threatening safety by beating the holy hell out of the WWE Champion. Orton says Shane can fire him but he'll buy. Ticket to every show. Orton says Mahal disrespected his family. Shane can make the easy decision and make the rematch.

Shane says Orton used similar tactics but can empathize with Orton and grants the rematch however Jinder gets to choose the stipulation. Jinder Mahal and The Singh come out. Mahal says Randy is not worthy of a rematch

Despite the prejudice shown to The Maharajah and Mahal names the stipulation. At Battleground it will be Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal locked in a Punjabi Prison Match

Backstage: AJ Styles walks into Daniel Bryan's office to address the US Open Challenge. Kevin Owens walks in and says the open challenge is for anyone he hasn't beaten and he already beat AJ. Owens calls Styles a loser

Daniel tells Owens he doesn't understand what a US Open Challenge is. When John Cena had his it was literally open to everyone and since next week is July 4th there's going to be an Independence Day Battle Royal and the winner will face Owens at Battleground

Mike and Maria Kanellis come out to introduce themselves to the Smackdown Live crowd but are interrupted by one of the two superstars in our next match

BARON CORBIN VS SAMI ZAYN

Sami on the offense early on unloading with punches in the corner. Corbin on the outside, Sami looks to fly but is caught by Corbin who drops him face first off the barricades

-Commercial-

Back from break Corbin in control. Clothes by Zayn, Irish whip sends Corbin to the outside. Corbin rolls back in. Zayn whips Corbin shoulder first into the ring post. Cross body onto Corbin. Corbin turns things around. Clothesline misses its mark as Sami rolls Corbin up. Corbin drives Zayn into the corner

Zayn and Corbin on the top rope. Zayn with a headbutt. Sami jumps off the top rope leaping over Corbin and roll through. Corbin out of the corner picks Zayn up and nails The End Of Days for the three count

The winner of the match: Baron Corbin

Backstage: Shinsuke Nakamura continues to watch from a difficult angle. He is asked if he would like to have a match against Baron Corbin.Nakamura says Baron Corbin is very dangerous but Baron fears what Nakamura can do. Maybe it is right that Corbin is afraid.

WOMEN'S MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH: TAMINA VS CHARLOTTE VS CARMELLA VS BECKY LYNCH VS NATALYA

Becky forces Carmella to the floor and then Natalya kicks Becky to the floor. Charlotte and Tamina fight to the floor. Carmella gets a ladder and brings it into the ring but she takes her time to set up the ladder. Carmella climbs the ladder but she takes her time and Natalya, Tamina, Charlotte, and Becky enter the ring and they look at Carmella while she freezes on the ladder. Carmella is sent to the floor. Tamina tries to climb the ladder but she is pulled off. Tamina is sent to the floor. Becky avoids a double suplex after Charlotte and Natalya give her a double drop kick. Becky with an Exploder to Natalya and then to Charlotte.

Becky tries to set up the ladder but Tamina pushes the ladder over and Becky hits it. Tamina with a Samoan drop to Becky and then she goes up top and hits a Superfly Splash.

-Commercial-

We are back and everyone but Charlotte is down on the floor. Charlotte sets up the ladder and Natalya stops her. Natalya with a suplex after pushing the ladder into the ropes. Natalya kicks Carmella and Carmella punches Tamina. Tamina blocks a thrust kick and Tamina pushes Carmella over the announce table onto JBL. Charlotte chops Natalya and throws her to the floor. Becky with an Exploder to Natalya on the floor. Charlotte kicks Tamina but Tamina with a forearm to the back. They fight over the ladder and then they each connect with forearms. Tamina punches Charlotte. Becky climbs the ladder held by Charlotte and Tamina but they push the ladder onto the ropes. Becky looks at the case and Tamina kicks Becky off the ladder onto Charlotte.

Charlotte kicks the ladder into Tamina and Natalya with a discus clothesline to Charlotte. Natalya pushes a ladder into Charlotte and Charlotte is down in the corner. Natalya sets up the ladder and climbs it. Natalya slowly climbs and Charlotte puts the ladder against the bigger ladder and she meets Natalya on top of the ladder. They exchange forearms. Carmella pushes the ladder over and Charlotte and Natalya hit the mat. Becky with an exploder to Carmella. Becky tries to throw a ladder at Natalya but misses. Tamina with a spear to Becky.

-Commercial-

We are back and Natalya is the only one on her feet. Natalya puts a ladder in the ring and stands under the briefcase. Natalya sets up the ladder and she climbs at a slow pace and Charlotte gets on the ladder and stops Natalya with a forearm to teh back. Becky climbs and then Charlotte gets on top. Tamina with a forearm to Becky's back. All four are near the top. Becky sends Tamina into the ladder and then the ladder falls over and everyone goes to the mat or floor.

Carmella is now alone in the ring and she sets up the ladder and she climbs and has her hand on the ladder. All four push the ladder out of the way. Charlotte is sent to the floor. Carmella with a cross body onto Natalya and Becky. Carmella is down in the ring while Natalya, Becky, and Charlotte are on the floor. Tamina is down under the case. Charlotte returns to the ring and she puts the ladder on top of Tamina. Charlotte drops the bottom rung on Tamina. Charlotte turns the ladder and she climbs but Carmella stops her. Carmella and Charlotte fight on the ladder but Tamina pushes the ladder over and Charlotte and Carmella fall from the ladder.

Tamina with a super kick to Charlotte and Tamina sets up the ladder in the center of the ring. Tamina climbs the ladder but Natalya and Becky get back into the ring and they stop Tamina. Becky and Natalya with a double power bomb. Natalya with a kick and a sit out power bomb to Becky. Natalya puts Carmella in the Sharpshooter. Charlotte kicks Natalya in the back of the head. Charlotte with Natural Selection to Carmella. Charlotte and Natalya fight to the floor and Natalya send Charlotte into the crowd and Natalya follows.

James Ellsworth returns to the ringside area and brings Carmella into the ring. Ellsworth sets up the ladder and he climbs while Carmella waits to fair catch the case. Becky kicks Carmella and then she tries to knock Ellsworth off the ladder and she pushes Ellsworth onto the top rope and he lands in an uncomfortable way.

Becky climbs the ladder but Carmella pulls her off. Becky appears to have hurt her knee but she stops Carmella and climbs the ladder. Carmella hits Becky in the leg with the chair and then she climbs the ladder and takes the briefcase.

The winner of the match: Carmella
