WWE Has Been Reportedly Pursuing New NXT Signee For Months

Thea Trinidad, formerly known as Rosita in Impact Wrestling, made her official WWE debut on this week's episode of NXT. She confronted Andrade 'Cien' Almas while on his way to a party accompanied by a pair of ladies. In the segment, Trinidad asked, "Is this what you are now?" He answered yes and she slapped him

According to PWINsider, Trinidad is someone that has been pursued by WWE since Rock's push for her to portray AJ Lee in the upcoming Fighting With My Family WWE Studios film. At the time, there was serious talks of her possibly debuting at NXT Takeover Orlando in April alongside Almas which did not happen after all

The former TNA Knockout, also engaged to current WWE Superstar Austin Aries, sat ringside for Almas' match against Kassius Ohno during an NXT taping in April. However, when the match aired the following month, she did not appear on camera

Her first tryout with the company took place in 2013. She later made an appearance on television as one of Adam Rose's 'Rosebuds'. She was involved in a backstage segment with Tyler Breeze at "NXT Takeover: Fatal Four Way" in 2014 and worked her first televised match as an enhancement talent in October of 2016 where she lost to NXT Women's Champion Asuka
