Who remembers the original WWE NXT?...It wasn't exactly great, but thankfully in 2012, it came to an end before it ventured into the new and much-loved incarnation that we watch and love today.

Back in 2012 however, there were plans for one final season of the original NXT competition which was to feature many of WWE's biggest stars, as revealed by Big E on today.

Responding to a fan’s post of a publicity photo of several Superstars within the yellow ropes, the former WWE Tag Team Champion revealed that it was part of a “lost season” of the original NXT … one he was relieved never quite came to fruition.
