Sean Waltman spoke with Sports Illustrated about a situation where there was almost an additional member of D-Generation X in the Attitude Era. X-Pac confirmed that former WWF writer Vince Russo wanted to put Val Venis in the group. The Big Valbowski was a very edgy character in the Attitude Era as was DX as a group.

“Russo wanted to put Val Venis in DX, but we said no. We stuck to our guns because he wasn’t right for DX.”

The idea was rejected by the members of DX and the plan was scrapped.
