NXT Match Stopped After Tommaso Ciampa Suffers Injury

WNS has received word from reader Anthony Young that NXT star Tommaso Ciampa has appeared to suffer a legit injury in the DIY vs Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe tag match tonight in at an NXT Live Event in Highland Heights Kentucky.

A few minutes into the match, Ciampa dived off the ring apron onto Sanity and hurt his left leg. He can be seen in the image below on the mat in pain.

The referee threw up the X and the match was ruled a no contest. Ciampa was then aided to the back by officials.

Depending on the severity of the injury it throws into doubt Ciampa and Gargano's scheduled match against NXT Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain for the titles at NXT: Takeover this Saturday.
