On Monday night's edition of WWE Raw, it was announced that Kevin Owens will defend the United States Championship against Chris Jericho at the upcoming Raw-exclusive WWE Payback event, which will take place on Sunday, April 30th from SAP Center in San Jose, California and will air live on the WWE Network.

This will be a rematch from their encounter at Sunday night's WrestleMania 33 event, in which Owens defeated Jericho to win the title.
