On Tuesday night's edition of WWE SmackDown LIVE, Naomi made her return to WWE following a tag team match that pitted SmackDown Women's Champion Alexa Bliss and Carmella against Becky Lynch and Mickie James. After the match was over, a brawl ensued between the competitors, as well as Natalya, who came to the announce table mid-match and even attempted to interfere in the match.

After getting involved in some of the action herself, Naomi announced to the crowd that she would be taking part in the multi-person SmackDown Women's Championship match at WrestleMania 33, in which Alexa Bliss will defend the title against all available women on the SmackDown LIVE roster.

Naomi has been out of action with an injury ever since February 21st, nine days after she first won the SmackDown Women's Championship.
