WWE SmackDown Results (3/28)

Welcome to the final Smackdown before Wrestlemania 33, coming to you live from Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. Tonight we have a contract signing between AJ Styles and Commissioner Shane McMahon. Will Style be out for revenge after being elbowed through a table last week? Also, Bray Wyatt has upped the mind games to a whole new level with his attack on Randy Orton last week. How will Orton respond, and will he respond during Wyatt's match with former family member Luke Harper? All this plus: Will Baron Corbin and Dean Ambrose come to blows once again? Will any more women be added to the Women's Championship match at Mania, or will any more male wrestlers be added to the Andre Battle Royal? Will American Alpha get a rematch after dropping their titles to the Usos? Tune in for answers to these questions and more, be sure to refresh every 5 minutes to stay on top of the action!

We kick things off with GM Daniel Bryan making his way to the ring for the contract signing between Commissioner Shane McMahon and AJ Styles. Big Yes and Daniel Bryan chants break out, and Bryan asks them if they're ready for Wrestlemania. He introduces Shane first who honestly gets a pretty mixed reaction as an AJ Styles chant breaks out. Bryan introduces Styles second who comes out to a mixed reaction as well. The audience seems to b split down the middle, . Chants for both break out when the two meet in the middle of the ring at the contract table. The two sit down, and Shane tells AJ that he is always a part of WWE's vision of success, and praises him as one of the greatest wrestlers to ever be in the ring. Styles agrees with him. Shane talks about his travels all over the world and his connection with the crowd, but tells him he become arrogant and that it's what caused him to lose the title to Cena. Shane warns Styles that if he doesn't give him his A game he could be looking at a very disappointing loss at Mania. The crowd is 100% behind Styles at this point as the two sign the contract. Styles tells him that this isn't a no DQ match, it's a traditional match. He says it's his wheelhouse, his home. Styles says he will play every game he wants to play and beat him at it. He lists all the great opponents he's been with, and he warns him that he's never been with someone like Styles. The two get to their feet looking to throw down but Bryan breaks them up, and tells them to shake hands. Shane extends his hand, but Styles leaves the ring instead.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Miz and Maryse will air the "Total Bellas Finale" tonight.

SINGLES MATCH: Becky Lynch vs. Carmella

Mickie James and Alexa Bliss are at commentary for the match. James Elseworth comes out and insults the crowd before introducing Carmella. Carmella immediately goes for a rope break and starts taunting her from the apron. She pick her gum out and gives it to Elseworth who eat it (gross), then Becky pops her with uppercuts. Carmella counters with kicks and takes advantage shortly before taking strikes from Becky. Alexa and Mickie are insulting each other from the table and get in each others faces, ending in Mickie shoving Alexa to the ground. The two begin to brawl and roll into the ring in the middle of the match. Carmella tries to get them out but takes a shot from Mickie for a DQ. Mickie and Lynch stare at each other with the former pointing at the Wrestlemania as we head to break.

WINNER: NO CONTEST

TAG TEAM MATCH: Alexa Bliss and Carmella vs. Mickie James and Becky Lynch

Mickie and Alexa start the match, and each launch quick offense and reversals at each other with Mickie getting the upperhand. Becky tags in who lands multiple leg drops. Mickie tags in but Alexa sneaks away to tag in Carmella. Carmella goes for a slap but misses wildly, and takes a big knee. Alexa tries to blind side her but is caught by Mickie, Carmella uses the opportunity to blind side her herself with a pick right. She pummels Mickie and distracts the ref so Alexa can cheap shot her. Alexa tags in and puts Mickie in an inverted headlock. Mickie fights to her feet and rolls Alexa up for a nearfall. She goes for the tag but gets caught. She's put in another headlock and fights out for another roll up nearfall. Natalya interrupts the match and comes down to the ring as we go to break.

We come back from break with Alexa in control on Mickie. Natalya is now on commentary as Mickie fights out with a leg scissors and a big neckbreaker. Mickie tags in Becky and Carmella tags in to a flurry of strikes as well as an exploder suplex and a straight fire clothesline. Natalya tries to get involved but fails, though Elseworth uses the distraction to trip Becky so Carmella can get the win. Natalya goes right to Becky and Allxa and Carmella gang up on Mickie. All of a sudden Naomi returns to come out and save both women, cleaning house. She announces that shes back and places herself into the Women's title match Wrestlemania.

WINNER: CARMELLA AND ALEXA BLISS

BACKSTAGE: Tyler Breeze dressed as Nikki Bella asks Bryan if he can be in the Women's Championship, but he puts him in the Andre Battle Royal instead.

VIDEO: The Miz and Maryse come to the ring to unveil the final "Total Bellas" episode. This one is at the dinner table and is mocking Cena and Nikki as well as Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella. It ends with Nikki purposing to John, but Miz and Maryse tell everyone they'll show them what happens after the break.

We return from break for the conclusion of Total Bellas. Cena rejects Nikkis proposal saying it'll hurt his brand. The Miz Cena begins to destroy Cena's actual character, and after they strip their costumes for real talk. Miz says Sunday will be Cena's curtain call, and they will expose the two for the fakes that they really are. After the video Cena and Nikki come out for a response. The Miz is shocked it took them this long to interrupt. Cena praises him for his humor, citing it as one of the best things he's done until they began talking as themselves. Cena bashes Maryse, saying WWE didn't hire her back because they didn't want her back, challenging people to search for her greatest match. He then goes to the Miz, saying he's a hypocrite for doing movies as well. He goes back to Maryse, saying he understands why Miz is here but not why she is. He says that the Miz is using Maryse so that he can be on Total Divas, and mocks him for not having his own kids. The Miz and Maryse drop their mics clearly flustered, and Cena get's serious as well. Cena says it won't be an even fight, that they will destroy the Miz and Maryse. Cena dares Miz to take a shot but to remember who he's dealing with. Miz and Maryse exit the ring despite the challenge, but begin to make their way back. Maryse grabs the Miz and stops him from re-entering. Nikki calls them jealous haters and that they are going to kick their ass Sunday. 

10 MAN TAG: The Fashion Police, The Usos and Dolph Ziggler vs. American Alpha, Rhyno, Heath Slater, and Mojo Rowley

Ziggler and Jordan start the match. Jordan wants Ziggler to tag in an Uso but refuses. The two shoot wrestle, trading grapple takedowns. Ziggler elbows out and connects a big dropkick. Ziggler charges and eats a dropkick from Jordan who takes advantage. Jordan tags in Gable who grounds Ziggler. He brings Ziggler up who fights out with kicks. The two trade wristlocks with Gable gaining the edge. Ziggler tries to fight out but is brought to the enemy corner with Slater tagging in. He keeps control with a wristlock, and quickly tags in Rhyno. He lights up Ziggler with suplexes. Ziggler escapes to the outside as we head to break.

We return with Jay and Gable in the ring, with Jay having the upper hand. Jimmy tags in and grounds Gable with running knees. Fandango tags in and corner Gable with strikes and whips him hard into the opposite corner. Jimmy tags in and chokes Gable on the ropes, then corners him with chops. He whips him to the opposite corner and charges but Gable doges and goes for the tag. Jay dives into the enemy corner to knock them off but Gable uses this to gain the upper hand with a back suplex. Gable makes the hot tag to Mojo who unleashes offense on all member of the opposite team including Breeze who tagged in. Everyone starts to throw each other over the top rop with Tyler Breeze being left alone in the ring. Mojo slides in to take Breeze out with a clothesline for the pinfall.

WINNER: MOJO RAWLEY'S TEAM

BACKSTAGE: Luke Harper talks about being treated like trash, and how he's finally free. He tells Bray if he were him, he would run.

MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCH: Bray Wyatt vs. Luke Harper

 THe two stare at each other with Bray looking crazed. He goes right after Harper with rights, but Harper retaliates. He whips Wyatt who counters with a crossbody. Wyatt runs to the ropes for another and Harper counters with a dropkick taking Wyatt to the outside. The two brawl on the outside of the ring and Luke takes Wyatt over the barricade as we head to break.

We return with Wyatt in control but it's short lived after Wyatt charges Harper and eats a Black Hole slam. Wyatt manages to regain control with an arm slam and a senton for a near fall. Wyatt hits another senton and calls for the Sister Abigail, but Harper tries for his ow. Wyatt escapes to the outside before he can hit it but Luke dives through the ropes onto Wyatt. He re-enters and dives again, shoving Wyatt over the table. He throws Wyatt into the ring and hits a swanton over the ropes and a big boot for a near fall. Harper corners him and goes to charge but almost takes a SA again. Harper reverses it into a rollup but fails. However he hits one huge strike and a massive clothesline for a broken fall. Wyatt gets back to his feet and looks into Harpers eyes causing him to hesitate his discus clothesline, giving Wyatt enough space to connect the SA for the pinfall victory. Wyatt kneels in the middle of the ring with a crazed look in his eyes as Orton appears on the screen. Orton is back at the site he burnt down with a "weapon of the Apocolypse". He says his fate is sealed Sunday, and he stabs it into the grave of Sister Abigail as the show cuts out.
