Kane has been notably absent from WWE television for a while now with speculation mounting that he is making a serious run for a political career.

We can now confirm that Glenn Jacobs (Kane) has filed official paperwork with the Knox County (Tennessee) Election Commission for a political treasurer, which is the first step toward his plans to run for Mayor of Tennessee.

Jacobs would run as a Republican candidate in the next mayoral election on May 1, 2018. 

He'll likely wind up his career 21-year WWE career in the before the end of 2017.
