As we reported on Tuesday Mauro Ranallo missed WWE SmackDown for the second week in a row this week. Last week it was announced that he missed the show due to weather which was battering the Northeast but this week they explained his absence as being due to sickness. 

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Mauro has been out of contact with some of his closest friends over the last couple of weeks and has even ceased communication on social media. There has been speculation that there is more to the story and in fact, Ranallo may be dealing with a bout of depression. He has suffered from depression going back to his teenage years and has spoken about it frequently, often tweeting about mental health.

He once missed an Invicta event to deal with his mental health.
