WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has put over AJ Styles as one of the best talents in professional wrestling in his latest blog, saying, “Styles, for my money, is the best in ring talent in the business today” this after watching Sunday's WWE TLC main event which featured Styles vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Championship. He went on to say, “AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose was, arguably, as strong a bout as WWE has had in 2016 and the two, skilled performers ability to utilize all the toys of a TLC match were incredible.” 

Ross went on to say he believes Styles is the second coming of the legendary Shawn Michaels and they both possess natural, innate timing that can’t be taught.

Ross noted that Styles is the type of athlete that WWE could build a brand around and he can see Ambrose turning heel sooner than later.
