We reported yesterday that AJ Styles appeared to suffer an injury during the main event of Sunday's WWE TLC Pay-Per-View which left him with a noticeable limp as he was walking backstage.

We can now confirm the WWE World Champion AJ Styles suffered a minor right ankle injury and was subsequently pulled from the ring at Monday's WWE live event in Tyler, Texas and did not appear.

PWInsider noted that Styles was pulled as a "precautionary measure" after he hurt his ankle at TLC.

AJ is scheduled to defend against James Ellsworth on tonight's SmackDown Live from Houston.
