Welcome to a Halloween edition of Monday Night Raw and tonight Raw is coming to us from the XL Centre in Hartford, Connnecticut and we kick things off with Goldberg making his way out to the ring. He begins by saying 'Brock Lesnar...' but can't finish the sentence as Paul Heyman cuts him across and walks out to confront him.

Heyman says the Goldberg chants are 'pissing him off', but that only urges the audience on. He continues saying that he's out here with 'significant backup', and that his client is an 'impatient beast'.

This proclamation sets the audience off like a firecracker, as Paul Heyman introduces BBRROOOCKKK LLESSSNNAAARR! Pandemonium breaks out as his music hits! Are they going to face off today?

But Heyman's expression gives it away. He's played us all. And he rubs it in, saying that this is the look of disappointment everyone will have on their faces come Survivor Series.

That prompts Rusev to come out and confront Goldberg, saying that he doesn't have what it takes anymore. He says he crushes people like that and hits Goldberg with a right hand, that is predictably no-sold.

Goldberg then tries to hit him with knees to the body, at which point he falls down after losing his footing. Ouch. Bad, bad botch. But the Jackhammer that follows isn't botched. Goldberg properly elevates Rusev and slams him clean. And he follows that up with a Spear to Paul Heyman.

Backstage: Brian Kendrick makes his way out to the ring defend his newly won Cruiserweight championship against TJ Perkins in a rematch from last night's Hell In A Cell PPV

Perkins wastes no time once the bell rings and goes right after Kendrick, forcing the veteran to seek asylum by clutching to the ropes for dear life. The referee breaks up the offence momentarily.

That doesn't faze Perkins one bit, as he hits a beautiful bulldog on Kendrick, before setting the Champion up for a high risk move with a scoop slam. Perkins executes an poetic hurricarana over the top rope, taking both himself and Kendrick out of the ring in the process.

The referee, meanwhile, starts counting both of them out. Perkins makes it in just in the nick of time, but Kendrick purposely gets himself disqualified by staying outside for the 10 count. Ring smarts from the canny veteran.

But TJ Perkins gets incensed and goes after a retreating Kendrick and locks in the kneebar near the ramp. Too little, too late.

While everything they did to Seth Rollins was legal, it left a bad taste in his mouth. Jeri-KO make their way out to the ring

Kevin Owens asks what it was that they did so wrong. Was it that he walked out as champion instead of Raw's #1 Draft Pick or maybe it's the fact that his best friend Chris Jericho outsmarted Foley and everyone else and managed to get in the cell. That's not it either. It was that he made history last night by stealing the show. Wether Foley likes it or not last night was the Kevin Owens Show
