The Wrestling Observer is reporting that there is currently backstage speculation regarding the status of Cesaro, as the current word is that his contract with WWE is set to expire soon. In regards to his current tag team stint with Sheamus, the word is that this is being done as a way to use him while not actually pushing him in the event that he decides not to renew his contract. The report further states that if Cesaro actually does decide to not renew his contact, then the team will be broken up and Sheamus will be pushed instead.

In regards to Dolph Ziggler, the same report states that there are a lot of questions regarding his current WWE status, as there is a suggestion that he only has about a year left on his current deal. Despite this, WWE officials are said to be considering having Ziggler lose his "Title vs. Career" Match against Intercontinental Champion The Miz at the upcoming SmackDown Live-exclusive No Mercy pay-per-view event, then have him take a long break before returning to WWE with a new gimmick.
