Corbin and Crews lock up and Corbin powers Crews back in the corner. Lock up once again and again Corbin shoves Crews away. Corbin off the irish whip hits a shoulderblock. Clothesline misses its mark and Crews connects with a dropkick.

Right hand by Crews from the apron and Corbin fires back sending Crews crashing to the floor


Corbin in control of the match. Crews mounting a comeback as he answers with a roundhouse. Lariat by Crews and a Stinger Splash. Corbin with a punch to the back of the head unloads on Crews

Kick to the midsection by Corbin and a right hand to Crews as the crowd starts a "Let's Go Crews" chant. Corbin picks Crews up and Crews fires a right hand but Corbin explodes with a Lariat

Right hand by Corbin. Irish whip across the ring, reversed by Corbin who baseball slides to the outside. Corbin back in misses with the clothesline but connects with a running knee.

jumping enziguri by Crews, standing moonsault and Corbin kicks out at 2. Modified STO by Corbin. Corbin misses with a splash and Crews hits the Olympic Slam. Corbin plants Crews with the Deep Six. Corbin follows Crews to the outside and Corbin hits the ring steps. Crews with a Samoan Drop to Corbin. Corbin rolled back in and Crews to the top rope. Crews drives Corbin in the corner unloading with right hands. Corbin fights out of the corner and hits the End Of Days for the three count

Backlash Intro

Welcome to the first Smackdown branded PPV of the new era, welcome to WWE Backlash. Backlash comes to us from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia

We kick things off with the Commissioner of Smackdown Live, Shane McMahon, making his way out to the ring. Next out is Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan. Shane welcomes everyone to WWE Backlash. Shane says on behalf of Bryan and the Smackdown production crew he wants to thank the fans for Smackdown Live's success and is responsible for superstars getting opportunities and they're giving Team Red a run for its money

Bryan runs down the matches and Shane says aside from the WWE Championship and tag team championships we also have the Six Pack Challenge to crown the new Smackdown Womnen's Champion and that match is next


The bell rings and the actions immediately begins as all six women go after each other. Alexa with a quick roll up. The ring is cleared and it's Becky and Naomi. Becky focusing on the arm looking for the Dis-arm her. Naomi is sent to the outside. Becky goes to the top rope but is tripped up by Carmella who unloads on Becky.

Becky kicking Carmella away. Hurricanrana by Carmella and a nearfall by Carmella. Nikki and Carmella face off but are attacked by Alexa and Natalya.

Alexa with a moonsault on Nikki. Alexa keeps Carmella on the outside. Carmella runs into a boot by Nikki. Nikki ooff the ropes plants Alexa. Another nearfall by Alexa. Natalya back in with a dropkick to Alexa. Becky in unloading with clotheslines. Becky with the running firearm to Alexa. German suplex out of the corner. Naomi in with a full nelson bomb on Naomi. Alexa breaks up a pinfall

Naomi plants Alexa. Carmella in with a superkick. Nikki back in unloads on Carmella. Carmella drives Nikki face first into the mat. Nikki with an Alabama Slam and a 2 count on Carmella

Nikki sits Carmella on the top rope. Carmella with elbows to the side of the head. Nikki hooks Carmella up and Natalya with a Superplex Powerbomb. Alexa with a nearfall on Nikki. She rolls Nikki to the outside.

Alexa unloads on Carmella getting a series of nearfalls. Carmella sent to the outside. Becky back in looking for the Dis-arm her but Alexa Shoves Becky into the cornere. Nikki looks to fly but is stopped by Carmella. Naomi back in throws Carmella out and it's Naomi's turn to fly as she takes out all five women

Alexa unloads with punches on Natalya. Naomi on the top turnbuckle hits a super blockbuster on Alexa for the first elimination

First Elimination: Alexa Bliss

Natalya sends Naomi to the outside. Naomi with a skin the cat on the ropes sending Natalya to the outside with a headscissors. Nikki with a forearm to Naomi and Natalya breaks up the pinfall and locks in the sharpshooter for the second elimination

Second Elimination: Naomi

Natalya and Carmella looking to form an alliance but Natalya with a discus clothesline to Carmella. Nikki with a modified Argentine backbreaker to Natalya for the three count. Carmella with a roll up on Nikki for the fourth elimination

Third and Fourth Elimination: Natalya and Nikki Bella

It's down to Becky Lynch and Carmella. Carmella unloads on Becky. Carmella with slaps to Becky driving her face into the mat. The crowd with a "Let's Go Becky" chant. Becky with a series of Beck-plexes. The Beck-sploder by Becky. Becky sets Carmella up for the Firearm but runs into a kick from Carmella. Carmella looks to capitalize but Becky locks in the Dis-arm her for the taop out.

The winner of the match and NEW Smackdown Women's Champion: Becky Lynch

Post Natch: Becky says thank you is all she has and it's been a struggle all these years and everyone believed in her and says it's because of the peoples' support and it's the first time she's held a championship

Backstage: The Miz walked down the hallway and approached the locker room of Nickelodeon guest star Jagger Eaton. Eaton said he’d like Miz to be on his Nick show … unless they can get John Cena. Why, you little! Jagger said he’ll talk to him later and slammed the door in Miz’s face.

Backstage: Suddenly, Randy Orton was being attacked by Bray Wyatt. Wyatt cackled and leaned down next to him as a referee tried to intervene. Orton winced in pain.

Last Tuesday: The Usos heel turn following their match against American Alpha


The Usos controlling the match early on. Snap suplex on Ryder. Ryder back to his feet fighting back but spinning roundhouse kick by Jimmy. Running hip attack in the corner to Ryder.

Ryder looking for a tag. Jey with a headbutt and a rear chinlock on Ryder. Jey hooks Ryder up looking for a suplex but Ryder counters into a Hangman's Neckbreaker. Rawley and Jimmy looking for tag for their teams. Jimmy gets the tag sending Rawley crashing to the floor preventing the tag.

Jimmy back to work on the chinlock keeping Ryder grounded. Ryder back his feet and Jimmy with a headbutt. Jey is in and Ryder fighting his way out of the corner. Rawley tags in unloading on Jey. Stinger Splash by Rawley to Jey. Jimmy gets sent to the outside. Jey off the second ropes gets caught by Rawley who delivers a military press slam. Hype Ryder stopped by Jimmy. Jey on the top rope and Ryder with a Ruff Ryder to Jey. Rawley on the outside gets sent into the barricades. Knee to Jey and Broski boot to Jimmy. Chop block to Ryder and Jimmy locks in the single leg Boston Crab for the tap out

The winners of the match: The Usos

Backstage: Heath Slater is feeling good and he has Rhyno as a partner and no one can stop a Rhyno

Miz is talking to Daniel Bryan and says he's been overlooked for far too long and Smackdown needs the Intercontinental Championship and wants to re-negotiate his contract and wants to be paid like the A-lister he is. Bruan just looks at him and Miz tells him to go back to his cubbyhole and watch Miz do what Bryan can no longer do.


Ziggler with a double leg takedown unloading on Miz and they quickly get tied up in the ropes. Miz slides to the outside to re-group. Miz back in the ring. Ziggler with a single leg takedown and another nearfall on Miz. Fireman's carry into a cradle and Ziggler works over the Miz.

Miz with a straight left to Ziggler. Slam by Miz. Miz picks Ziggler up. Ziggler ducks a clothesline. Baseball slide and Ziggler connects with a dropkick. Miz drops Ziggler neck first across the middle rope. Slindshot in the ropes by Miz.

Miz with a running knee to the back of the neck. Knee to the back by Miz. Bow and arrow stretch on Ziggler. Ziggler counters into a nearfall. Miz catches a Ziggler dropkick and catapults him to the outside.

Miz with a dropkick. Back in the ring, Miz still in control asking Ziggler who the coward is now. Chinlock on Ziggler, Ziggler fights back driving Miz in the corner. Ziggler charges and Miz moves out of the way aas Ziggler hits the turnbuckle chin first.

Miz with the inverted surfboard. Double stomp on the ankles by Miz. Series of corner dropkicks by Miz. Miz mocking Daniel Bryan. Miz connects with the Awesome Clothesline. Miz on the top rope connects with a double axehandle. Miz stalking Ziggler, Ziggler gets to his feet. Counters the Skull Crushing Finale and delivers a dropkick. Miz runs into an elbow. Series of clotheslines by Ziggler. Swinging neckbreaker to Miz, Ziggler with a ground and pound drops an elbow on Miz

Ziggler with a roll up. Miz charges in the corner and hits the ring post. Ziggler plants Miz with a sit-out powerbomb. Miz goes to work on the left leg. Figure founr countered and ziggler with a Famouser

Ziggler looks for the ZigZag but it's blocked by Miz. Ziggler with a sleeperhold as Miz reaches out for the ropes. Miz falls to one knee. Miz back to his feet drives Ziggler head first into the turnbuckle. DDT by Ziggler to Miz

Ziggler misses a superkick and Miz with a DDT. Miz with the figure four locked in. Ziggler inches towards the bottom ropes forcing the break. Miz pulls Ziggler back and connects with a running kick to the face. Figure four countered by Ziggler who connects with a superkick. Miz gets a foot on the rope breaking the nearfall.

Ziggler picks Miz up carrying him back to the ring. Maryse with a spray to the eyes of Ziggler and Miz from behind hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the three count

The winner of the match and still Intercontinental Champion: The Miz


Bray leaned against the ropes and soaked it up as referee Robinson made a ten-count. Bray was declared the winner via forfeit

The winner of the match by forfeit: Bray Wyatt


Back and forth match between Kane and Wyatt. Wyatt with a chair slamming it down on Kane. Kane with a back elbow and a DDT on the chair

Kane with the running clothesline. Sidewalk slam to Wyatt. Kane sets up for the chokeslam. Wyatt counters with a right hand and Wyatt pulls the top rope down sending Kane to the outside. Kane pulls Wyatt to the outside. Wyatt counters a chokeslam and gouges Kane's eyes and a right hand floors Kane.

Wyatt tears up the announce table placing Kane across the table delivering hammer fists to the side of the head. Wyatt mocks Orton's pose and delivers a senton.

Back in the ring, Kane counters a Sister Abigail. Orton makes his way down to the ring and delivers an RKO to Wyatt. Kane plants Wyatt with a chokeslam for the three count

Backstage: A.J. Styles walked past two independent wrestlers. Styles said he’s been where they’ve been before. Styles said they’re destined … for failure. But, hold on, hold on, you can say that tonight you got to meet the face that runs the place. And be here the night he became WWE World champion. Take heart my friends. Styles smiled and kept on walking.


The crowd was hot for Slater early on, chanting “Let’s Go Slater.” Rhyno tagged in next, drawing “ECW” chants. Slater tagged back in, but got double-teamed by The Usos. On the outside, the Usos double-suplexed Slater into the ringpost, trying to capitalize on his stomach issues.

Back in the ring, the Usos isolated Slater, trying to get him to submit. The crowd tried to rally behind Slater, who took a corner splash and continued to sell. Back on his feet, Slater collided with Jey Uso mid-ring. Slater finally made it to his corner to tag in Rhyno as Jimmy tagged in. Belly-to-belly suplex, then Rhyno lined up Uso for The Gore. But, Uso moved and Rhyno ate the buckle.

Slater tagged himself in for Rhyno and nailed Uso with a neckbreaker. Then one for Jey Uso. Slater delivered a leaping DDT to Jimmy, but Jey dragged Slater out of the ring to break up the pin. Suddenly, Rhyno charged Uso with The Gore out of the ref’s view. Slater crawled on top of Jimmy, draped an arm, and it was good for a three count to win

Post Match: Rhyno received the Tag Title belts and handed one to Slater, who got fired up celebrating in the ring. Charly then entered the ring to interview the first-ever Smackdown tag champs. Slater’s voice cracked as he asked Rhyno if he believes this and if he hears the crowd. Slater said when he wasn’t drafted, he knew there was a mistake. But, he and Rhyno fixed that. Slater said he gets a contract now. He shouted out to his “wife” that they’re getting a double-wide, baby!


Back and forth match between Styles and Ambrose. Ambrose with a series of headbutts. Styles counters with a dropkick. Styles bounces Ambrose's head off the turnbuckle. Series of right hands. Slam by Styles and Styles off the ropes with a kneedrop.

Knee to the jaw by Styles. Styles with right hands to Ambrose. Dean taking over stomping away at Styles. Ambrose with the irish whip, Styles side steps and Ambrose hits the ring post.

Right hands by Ambrose. Styles fires back with forearms of his own driving Ambrose into the corner. Styles misses with the Stinger Splash. Ambrose plants Styles on the turnbuckle. Styles tries to fight back but Ambrose hooks Styles up delivering an avalanche belly to back superplex. Crushing clothesline by Styles.

Ambrose runs into a boot. Styles off the ropes caught by Ambrose who delivers a clothesline. Elbow drop from the top rope by Ambrose. Wheelbarrow facebuster by Ambrose

Ambrose on the top rope rolls through. Ambrose counters the calf crusher looking for a suplex. Styles counters and hits his own vertical suplex into the corner.

Ambrose goes for Dirty Deeds but Styles counters going after leg. Right hand by Styles and back to work on the leg. Styles locks in the Calf Crusher and Ambrose with one arm around Styles neck bouncing Styles' head off the mat.

Styles goes for the Styles Clash but Ambrose grabs the rope. Styles with a kick. Styles on the apron picks Ambrose up and Ambrose catapults Styles shoulder first into the ringpost.

Styles back in the ring with kicks and a clothesline. Fireman's Carry into neckbreaker by Styles. Back body drop by Ambrose. Styles picks Ambrose up for an Argentine backbreaker into a powerbomb.

Styles plants Ambrose then delivers a springboard shooting star press onto Ambrose for a nearfall. Ambrose fighting back with Muy Thai knee strikes and Styles sent crashing from to the floor

Styles sent into the crowd and Ambrose with a dive into the crowd with an elbow. Back in the ring, pele kick by Styles. Ambrose with the rebound clothesline. Styles backs Ambrose into the referee. Styles hits a low blow and plants Ambrose with a Styles Clash for the three count

The winner of the match and NEW WWE World Heavyweight Champion: AJ Styles
