The Wrestling Observer is reporting that despite reports from high-profile sources such as Forbes suggesting the contrary, WWE has denied that they have contacted either Jeff Hardy or Rey Mysterio to return to the company for the upcoming Brand Extension.

The initial report from Forbes stated that WWE had "reached out" to Hardy, Mysterio, and a host of others to return to the company for the Brand Extension. WWE officials, however, have stated that no attempts have been made to contact Hardy and Mysterio since Hardy is under contract to TNA Wrestling and Mysterio is under contract to Lucha Underground.
