A nasty rumor that Pat Patterson has passed away was floating around on social media a while ago. WWE Hall of Famer Gene Okerlund has debunked the rumor on his official Facebook page:

"Pat Patterson is very much alive people. For that piece of garbage to post "his passing" is a travesty. To even acknowledge the scum bag is beyond me. To perpetrate this news of the death of Pat is one of the worst things I've ever witnessed. Classic case of abusing social media."
