Hiroshi Tanahashi Pulled From NJPW's “Dominion” PPV Due To Injury: Replacement Revealed

New Japan Pro Wrestling's Hiroshi Tanahashi has been pulled from the “Dominion” PPV due to injury and will now be replaced ROH star Michael Elgin.

Tanahashi revealed at New Japan’s BOSJ show on Friday in Tokyo that he is unable to challenge Kenny Omega for the IWGP Intercontinental Title due to an injury to  his shoulder in May.

Below is the updated Dominion PPV card:

  • IWGP World Title match: Naito vs. Kazuchika Okada
  • IWGP IC Title match: Kenny Omega vs. Michael Elgin (replacing Tanahashi) in a ladder match
  • NEVER Openweight Title match: Yuji Nagata vs. Shibata
