As previously reported, multiple rumors began swirling Friday regarding the current status of WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia, with numerous websites reporting that she had either been released from the company or her current deal was being allowed to expire, while Garcia herself posted on her official Twitter page that she had been away dealing with a family emergency.

In an update, ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that Garcia has actually not been released from WWE and that she has actually been at her father's side, as he is currently dealing with complications due to cancer that arose at some point this month. Because of this, the website reports that WWE approved emergency leave for Garcia to be with him and has also been checking in with her ever since to see how things are.

The latest word is that Garcia's father is said to have been doing much better over the past few days and that Garcia is reportedly planning to be at next Monday night's edition of Raw.
