Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Christian has also been released by WWE in addition to 9 other talent over the last week. The long-serving WWE Superstar has reportedly been let go from his performing contract, not his current Edge and Christian Show deal.

Christian has been absent from active in-ring action since a concussion back in March 2014 and although he never officially retired he did mention on Chris Jericho's podcast that he doesn't think he will wrestle again.

Since his debut in 1998, he has gone on to win multiple championships including the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and ECW Championship twice, the WWE Intercontinental Championship four times, the WWE World Tag Team titles and impressive nine times and the WWE European, Hardcore and Light Heavyweight Championship once.
