Sami Callihan is heading to Lucha Underground for season three, according to a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet. The former WWE NXT star known as "Solomon Crowe" was released last year after requesting to be let go.

Sami recently had a trial match with Lucha Underground during the season 2 tapings and began negotiations to join the roster thereafter. 

Callihan reportedly requested his WWE release so he could reinvent his gimmick on the independent scene.
